We have experienced that more than half of the children we work with are in a hopeless situation. We have been so busy ministering to them that it left us with a feeling of emptiness. By the grace of God we kept on believing: “God is providing a way when there is no other way.”

There exists a spirit of hopelessness among the people of the country in almost every section of society. Therefore, we should not only pray for each other, but also for all the educational and spiritual organisations, their leaders and workers at all levels of society who work with children for renewed energy, encouragement, inspiration and motivation.

Today I want to ask you to consider crying out to the Lord together with our team: “Touch them, fill them, they long to feel Your power”. Crying and chasing after Father like a child, we are expecting his healing touch and love to transform this generation. With their empty hands held high the Lord would whisper in their ears, He would pour Himself in them and His fire would consume their hearts. He would lift them out of hopelessness – He would set them free.

Trust that God will remain faithful to his Word. He says the following to us to remember in any hopeless situation:

• Psalm 34:17-20 (ESV) “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.”

• Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV) “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

• Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

May the Lord God also be gracious to you with the light of His countenance and give you peace.
